We've had a great and tiring weekend ... Last night, we split into two groups and saw Indiana Jones & Kung Fu Panda. They were both good ... and then we ate at Genghis Grill with Richard.
Today, we had a "mini Christmas" for Bain with lots of gifts and the kids getting very excited. Then, we were off to church. Today's service was good and included a remembrance time and Jesus' last supper ... which we don't have very often. Once home, we enjoyed some "Tiger time" (AKA golf). I slipped away for an hour of (much needed) working out and took Hank & Jackson to the pool. Bain surprised me by showing up with Zoe about an hour later. It's funny that the kids seem to forget mommy when poppy is at the pool. Even Zoe wouldn't have anything to do with me! Much more fun to ride on his shoulders or back, I guess. :)
We cooked out steaks for dinner and enjoyed an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins with 11 candles to celebrate Bain's 11 years as a dad. Of course, there was more TV "Tiger time" and then some Celtics/Lakers ... just hanging out on our back porch. Our back porch TV is not the best TV in our house (way too small for following a golf game) - but it was great "atmosphere" and during commercials, BJ and Bain got to practice lacrosse.
"Tiger time" should be fun to watch today ... Bain always says that he loves "reality TV" ... and at our house, ESPN IS reality TV! :)
Hank has built a "Great Wall of China" in our sand pile today ... I can't believe that I didn't take any pics of it yet ... but it is huge and pretty amazing. Once we are at the beach, there is no way to guess what he will build. He told me that he is planning to dig to China while we are on vacation. :)
So, everyone's had a fun weekend ... Unfortunately, Jackson has come down with a 101.5 fever tonight (see pic of him sleeping after taking some medicine). Other than that, the kids have really enjoyed "showing their love" for their daddy/poppy today! :)
