Rainy Day

All week, we've had sunny or partly sunny weather with just an occasional thunderstorm. Today, we got the "all out" rain and overcast sky.

So, along with a gazillion other families, we went to Broadway on the Boardwalk ... an outdoor mall and basic tourist trap! :)

We visited the aquarium there and it was fun for the kiddos. They had a "non fish" section that was all about pirates. I didn't think we'd be able to get Hank & Jackson out of that part ... but they loved the next section which was a tunnel with water all around and the tanks were full of sharks, sawfish, lots of fish and sting rays. We also saw some cool jelly fish, funny looking sea horses and fairly large horseshoe crabs (that you could pick up).

At the Boardwalk, the kids decided to buy fish food and toss it into the lake. Well, a gazillion (I like that word today) fish suddenly came to the surface and started fighting for the food. It was pretty funny.

For dinner, we ate at our hotel at the outdoor patio. Overlooking the ocean, was a beautiful rainbow - spotted by Hank. Time to go home ... a tropical storm is headed here this next week.
