It's A Tie! Let's Celebrate!

BJ's basketball team had a much anticipated game today against a team that they were worried might beat them.  Well, the momentum of the game started out pretty poor and the other team took advantage of it.  They came out and scored about 7 or 8 points on our team.  As the game went on, BJ's team realized that they had a good chance if they pushed themselves.  So, the intensity of the game really increased.  In the last quarter, BJ's team tied the score and for the last couple of minutes of the game, neither team was able to score on the other.

So, even a tie is considered a victory in my book ... because the boys were all pretty sure they would lose.  To make the competition even higher, most of these boys (both teams) are all in the 4th grade at BJ's school ... so they've been "discussing" the game while at school for at least two weeks.

Tonight, we went out for Mexican food and our coach's family came along ... so we had a little chance to celebrate the "victory."  The pictures were taken while we were all waiting for the dads to pay the tabs.  The kids lined up under the restaurant's bar ... much to the thrill, I'm sure, of the people drinking at the bar!  :)  Anyway, they were having fun and they didn't bother anyone TOO much ... just a little!
