Pocket Knife Capital of the World

On the way back from visiting the orphanage, we stopped in the same city at the knife store. This area of China is known for making knives of all kinds and exporting them around the world. The town is a very poor town but very clean ... this store was very nice with very clean squatty potty bathrooms. (More on squatty pottys on some other day.) Anyway, this store had the typical "several Chinese helpers per isle" in the store ... asking to help you and following you around. The two Chinese girls were particularly helpful and they loved talking to Zoe, so I took their picture. The girl on the right was very shy about having her picture taken but they laughed and had fun with it!

We were able to find "a few" knives for B.J. ... and a few for him to give to friends. Bain also found a rather large pocket knife for himself! :)

I took a picture of the sign at the check out counter. Sometimes, the Chinese have a hard time interpreting their English for signs. Some of the signs, we can figure out ... others, we never do.
