Laura's Silver and Gold

The song goes ... "Make new friends but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold." Here is my sister, Laura, with "old friend" Paula and "new friend" Zoe ... some of her silver and gold.

These pics are from Sunday lunch at the local "all you can eat" country cooking buffet in the town where their church is located ... It's a fairly small, sleepy town - close to DC but still quiet. We had corn fritters, lima beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, pot roast, carrots, homemade bread with butter ... you get the idea! :)

Dessert ... peanut butter pie ... to die for! It was SO good!

Zoe slept through almost my entire meal ... so, I was in heaven ... able to enjoy a couple of plates full of home cooking that I didn't have to cook and eating slowly, enjoying every bite ... a rare treat for a mom of multiple toddlers.

Oh, and the company was very good, too ... Laura's friends for many, many years. I had met them when Paula came to visit Nashville with Laura about 15 years ago. They were great company for lunch.
