Here's something that I found at Blockbuster that was a "blast from the past" ... Speed Racer cartoons. I also learned that, like everything from my childhood, there is a re-make in the works.
Speed Racer was the Pokemon of our day ... a cartoon straight from the Japanese cartoon artists ... the country that now gives us so much of our daily cartoon dose.
Another cartoon favorite of the time for me ... Jonny Quest! Anyone else remember Bandit (their loveable, yapping dog), Hadji (Jonny's adopted brother - born in India), Dr. Quest (Jonny's brillant scientist father) and Race (the body guard). Maybe a remake of Jonny Quest will be in the works soon, too.
Jackson is now a HUGE fan of Speed Racer ... so we will have fun going to see the movie whenever it comes out. Finally, something that might replace "Cars" as our most watched CD!
