Hank's first sports game was today ... Upward basketball ... and he scored two points! Well, actually, they don't keep score in Upward ... so it was really no points ... but it was still fun for him to make a basket. He (and all his teammates for that matter) are pretty clueless as to how to play.
Each child is given a colored arm band and one child on the opposing team has the same color armband. That is how the children know who to guard ... whoever has the same color band as theirs. Hank met his "arm band mate" in mid court and they growled at each other, danced around each other with arms up in the air and stared each other down with serious glares. After that "ceremony", there was very little guarding going on ... but I'm sure they'll get the hang of it after a few practices and games!
BJ's team won their game, too, but I missed it because it was at the same time as Hank's but at a different church. Bain is coaching BJ's team.
