Happy Birthday To You ... cha cha cha!

Today Jackson had a fun birthday party and had several little friends over for cake and ice cream. They played on his new Thomas the Tank Engine train table and rode his Thomas the Tank Engine train. From his friends, he got a Thomas t-shirt, an aquarium car train piece, a Gap t-shirt and a Thomas placemat. From Richard, he got train track, a toy golf club, bubble bath, a number puzzle and lots of other things.

The cake was great. It had a Thomas train on top that you could wind up and let it move around the track. He also had a few trick candles and had to get all his friends to help blow them out!

Hank had fun playing with James from across the street. They ended up playing with the water sprayer that we use in the bathroom to wet their hair when it is sticking up in all kinds of crazy ways. Anyway, they ended up chasing each other and they were both soaked. Hank decided to strip all his clothes off and run through the party naked. I'm sure that was the highlight for some of the parents - who probably have decided never to return to our house again! :)

Bain watched the football Hall of Fame speeches today and I got to catch a little of them, too. Some of the guys were really motivational and all the speeches that I heard were heartfelt. Bain also took Hank & Jackson to Krispy Kreme this morning for donuts and worked on cleaning out the front yard beds. The weeds had taken over!

All in all, a nice day ... I was thinking about my sister today who is feeling tired from chemo and wishing her strength (and tastebuds) would return. And, of course, wondering what little Zoe is up to today ... who's holding her, is she laughing? Can't wait to see that little face!
